BOTOX® is a safe quick, painless and highly effective way to soften hard lines in the face. These lines are damage caused by the process of living and ageing. With over 3 million BOTOX® treatments performed in 2006 alone  (are there not more recent statistics than 2006???), one may easily determine the safety, effectiveness and popularity of this cosmetic procedure.  

 

 

BOTOX® is injected in highly diluted doses into specific facial muscles, using specific small thin needles. Often these procedures can also be done using the   . Any swelling or bruising that might occur will subside within a few days.  

 

 

BOTOX® from Allergan must be transported correctly, stored properly, utilized in a concise time frame and administered by an experienced Medical/Dental Professional.  

 

BOTOX® takes effect any time within 14 days of the treatment being administered, after which a follow up appointment must be made with Dr Pretorius for her to check that the results are according to expectations and to monitor her patient’s improvement.

 

As BOTOX® lasts three to four months, Dr Pretorius offers a holistic approach in order to solve some of the problematic areas for longer periods of time.
